Vinyára, which means "New Dawn" in Quenya, was founded on April 30, 2010, by a group of players who wished to create a friendly, inclusive kinship atmosphere while maintaining an emphasis on group content and casual raiding. As the months passed, Vinyára came to be a refuge for most of its founders, and a place to further existing friendships and create new bonds as their numbers slowly grew.

Order of the Phoenix was founded with the opening of the Nimrodel server in open beta. The Order began its endgame legacy sharing in the server-first defeat of Thorog, and went on to conquer each subsequent challenge up to the Lieutenant of Dol Guldur, against which their struggle continues under a new banner. Holding firmly to fun and friendship as the gold standard which gives value to in-game accomplishment, they were richly rewarded with both.

Recognizing a kindred of spirit that ran deeply between them, the two groups united on September 5, 2010 to greet the New Dawn together. 

Though we, as members of the kinship, come from many different walks of life and gaming backgrounds, we share a common goal of wanting to create a positive gaming experience by working together and having fun. Ultimately, we strive to make the LOTRO experience the best it can be for all members of the kinship, be it through raiding, or the many other options that the game offers, like questing, crafting, socializing, and exploring Middle-Earth.
